Visione: Fare rivivere le case vacanza

Alessandro started Granite as an hospitality venture after promoting the Sharing Economy a few years back. When Airbnb made home sharing an attractive opportunity, he decided to offer up his family vacation apartment in Ponte di Legno, Italy. Home sharing enthusiasts came in, and year one was really emotional.

He then found that the whole mountain resort had become almost a ghost town, so he went into an innovative investment model, called Buy-To-Rent with financing support by local banks, and the objective to grow tourist opportunities via an increased number of fresh guests.

Interior housing was adapted to short term accommodation, and a range of service teams was engaged, like concierge, cleaners, fixers. The biggest challenge was remote guest management, like welcoming, checking-in and -out, sight and dining advising.

The guest experience was meant to be warm & friendly, yet collaborative and self-directed, as the selected accommodations were former family-owned vacation homes with their own usage specifics. More standardization is coming along, but no one-size-fits-all is envisioned for the future.

Making vacation homes alive again is the vision for the entire initiative.

Selezionando posizioni uniche

Remote hosting and guest self house management are two key drivers for your experience as a distinctive Guest.

Technology enables most of that, so expect WhatsApp chatting, photo shooting, and video calling along your staying, on top of your web browsing, reservation making, and paying.

Remote management can only happen with an actual living test phase in each apartment, which is performed at start-up and over the years. So expect your Host to likely have useful tips for you while spending your vacation there.

As a Guest you will find unique accommodations particularly for their great location, carefully selected for you to enjoy the most fascinating places and genuine people around it.

Mettendo la vacanza nelle tue mani

Having you as a guest is a pleasure and a passion for your Host.

Remote hosting also comes with some low-tech touch points, that might be useful in a great place yet challenging at times, such as a mountain resort.

Local staff will hand over the apartment keys to you at check-in time. They will also be ready to provide additional services, such as pre-heating your reserved apartment on cold days before your arrival.

Cleaning staff will help you get your apartment sanitized, or perform an extra cleaning if your dog had left overs around the place. Or come in and get special situations fixed. They will also set your bed up with fresh linens.

A range of local house technicians is also supporting with repairing pipes, cables, walls, and alikes. Also, selected restaurant owners will have special offers to our guests.

Last but not least, the local businesses and community will be more than happy to meet your needs and wishes.
